Let’s pause for a minute…

Six years have gone by. So many changes have happened. Yet this day remains the same. Like first love, first job is always special, and this day too.

CDC’s, BDC’s and of course, our college, holds a very special in our heart. Most of us got married, or got busy in personal life. It’s no more an occasional ‘Hi’ on WhatsApp groups, or on Facebook or anywhere, owing to busy life. At times, we get notifications or reminders for marriage invite and for one or the other life events. Likes has become a way of acknowledging or sharing happiness.

Midnight wishes on birthday to posting wishes on Facebook timeline to nothing, calls to voicemail to nothing, and the worst is planned birthday surprises to being surprised by birthday reminders to ignoring reminders, greeting cards to e-greeting cards to nothing, flowers and gifts to nothing!

Life has changed so much. College life and school life are a part of our faded memories. We speak pride of it and feel sick when we reminisce. We have lost all the charm of asking questions and ended up in Google. All we know is deadline; a line which we never want to touch! We do all we cannot do, for an onsite opportunity. We beg for a salary hike. And we respect NI, MCE, HVC, ECC, and OSC, more than the individual respect.

Life is worse than being mechanical. We all run for priceless word money. We want it more and more because we want a triple bedroom flat or a villa, an Audi, a BWM or a Honda, eight digit bank balances, costly phones, branded dress, and more…

I feel void. I keep recalling those old gold memories. I smile, laugh and even shed happy tears, but time flew away. Faster. Faster than I ever imagined.

I wish life has a pause, rewind and play button. I know it is not possible. Still I wish…

Once a writer, now a person who types his life.

To be honest I have always loved to live a little slow and a simple life, kind of which our grandparents lived. It had everything that we crave today, at least there was peace, love and time for everyone . But you know, a few things from your list we can still do without expecting the same from the other end 🙂

Yes, you are right, little one. Thank you so much for your constant encouragement 🙂
